What is a skin and how to make one

From the file system perspective, a zoglair skin is a sub-directory of the ''skin'' group folder, containing at least one *.php file (named after the skin's name) that is the skin definition. Other files may exist in a skin directory, as following:

zoglair
skin
mySkin
mySkin.php
mySkin.html
mySkin.css
mySkin.txt
mySkin.lists.css
mySkin.reset.css
mySkin.shell.css

* «mySkin» is just an example skin name

  • Items in bold are mandatory - without them there is no skin. The rest are (technically) optional. For each one that is missing, the corresponding file from the default skin will be used.
  • Items in italics are most likely to exist, because there is no much use in a skin without these. Such a skin would simply change some default variables, something that can more easily be done via a Hook.

The following pages in this part are devoted to each item separately. For your convenience, pages are named after the particular file they are dealing with.
